Featuring the detailed craftsmanship of highly skilled, professional Chinese lantern artists, this illuminated exhibition allows visitors to celebrate the holidays like never before. Each lantern is handmade by these incredible artists whose lives are dedicated to their craft. Guests will not only enjoy elaborate lantern reproductions of the world's preeminent landmarks and landscapes, they’ll also be invited to walk through handcrafted recreations of the most iconic holiday scenes from around the globe: from the famed European Christmas markets to a vibrant Lunar New Year temple fair.
Magical Winter Lights' inaugural year was a resounding success. The festival became a new favorite for Houstonians to spend a Holiday night out with the entire family. Besides the breathtaking displays that created an absolute wow factor to visitors and numerous photo opportunities, there was plenty of entertainment for everyone to enjoy, whether it be a full-scale carnival, a complete lineup of Houston’s most popular food trucks, or acrobatic shows performed twice daily, Santa photo sessions, or Snow Sisters meet and greet. Magical Winter Lights drew guests from the entire greater Houston area, some come from as far as Austin, Dallas, and Mexico. It also became a romantic proposal spots for many couples. Magical Winter Lights became a great venue for special events. Event attendees were able to enjoy the spectacular light display in a festive atmosphere. The festival presents a great opportunity for corporate events. Additional services provided include: private catering, valet parking, and personalized staff assistance.

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have provided Magical Winter Lights with a great platform to communicate and interact with its audience. Visitors are able to share their MWL pictures and stories while they are at the event. Social media has also become the most popular channel for customer inquiries as well as providing first-hand event updates. Interestingly, our Facebook fans are from 10 different countries and use 9 different languages to access the MWL Facebook page. Audiences also had a chance to join MWL sweepstakes by checking in on Facebook, photo caption contests, or sharing our posts on Instagram.
